So here’s the idea:  We need to make an album. There are literally hundreds of great slivers of music on Rifflet right now, and the time has come for them to be assembled into something greater.

Now is also a great time to involve those whose talents lean more toward the post-production rather than the production of music.  If you don’t play an instrument, or don’t have any recording equipment, now is the time to get involved.  If you need software to start your re-mixing project, download Audacity, the premier open-source sound editing app.

Use Your Words

Here’s another group of people we need badly: Lyricists.  People who sing, people who rap, people who yodel, people with functioning vocal chords, people with laryngitis and a really good microphone.  We need you.  Instrumental tracks are cool, but sometimes they just don’t have the power or the specificity of lyrics.  And, as I have mentioned before, I am dying to hear someone rap over some crappy guitar I’ve posted.  (Here’s my Rifflet user page, in case you want to get started.)
